Scholarship Applications for CI 101 Fall Class — Available Online!
The St. Louis CCIM Chapter is excited to present the Seven (7) Scholarships in 2018 toward the upcoming local CI 101 Class in St. Louis, Missouri scheduled for October 29 to November 1. (See informational flier.)
The James K. Rosen and Stephen V. Jacquemin Endowment for Real Estate Education together with the St. Louis Commercial REALTORS® Endowment Scholarship were created to support real estate professionals in their efforts to achieve the CCIM designation. These scholarships honor individuals for their outstanding leadership and service to their CCIM chapter, the commercial real estate industry, and their communities.
Seven (7) scholarships are available to both chapter members and non-member commercial industry practitioners interested in becoming a CCIM Candidate. Scholarships are open to all individuals interested in exploring the possibility of becoming a CCIM including current St. Louis CCIM members, commercial and residential industry practitioners and non-members interested in a real estate career.
These scholarships include:
Applications will include:
- Four (4) – $500 CCIM James K. Rosen Endowment Scholarships;
- Two (2) – $500 CCIM Stephen V. Jacquemin Endowment Scholarships, and;
- One (1) – Full-Tuition St. Louis Commercial REALTORS® Scholarship up to the amount of $1,650.
All scholarships must be used towards the cost of the fall CI 101 Class scheduled from October 29 to November 1, 2018.
Applicants need only to submit One (1) application to be eligible for any of the scholarships. Only One (1) scholarship per person will be awarded.

James K. Rosen
Jim Rosen, CCIM, of Chesterfield, Missouri is Vice President of Brokerage for Pace Properties, specializing in leasing, landlord and tenant representation, and disposition of retail properties. He is an accomplished instructor for CCIM Institute receiving numerous awards including CI 101 Senior Instructor of the Year, CI-103 Senior Instructor of the Year, and The People’s Choice Award. Jim he has also served as both Assistant Dean and Dean of the College of Financial Analysis for the ICSC University of Shopping Centers program.
Stephen V. Jacquemin
Steve Jacquemin, CCIM, has been a part of the commercial real estate industry for over 35 years. Prior to real estate brokerage, Steve was a managing partner of a New York based CMBS lender. Steve has been an active CCIM member since 2001 and has been an integral part of the St. Louis Chapter Board of Directors since 2006. He served as the St. Louis Chapter President in 2012, was named the St. Louis 2013 CCIM Member of the Year. Most recently, Steve served as Regional Vice President of the CCIM Institute.

CI 101: Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate

CI 101 is a bedrock class for real estate practitioners at a time when risk mitigation, pricing, and cycle assurance have become critical to investors. CI 101 introduces the CCIM Cash Flow Model, a tool for ensuring your investment decisions are based on wise finance fundamentals. During the course, you will learn how to use key financial concepts such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Cap Rate, Capital Accumulation, and the Annual Growth Rate of Capital to compare different types of commercial real estate investments.
This course will teach you how to:
- Make informed investment decisions using the CCIM Cash Flow Model;
- Measure the impact of federal taxation and financial leverage on the cash flow from the acquisition, ownership, and disposition phases of real estate investment; and
- Use real estate analysis tools to quantify investment return.
Candidate Recruitment Networking Event
Each year CCIM St. Louis local chapter hosts at least Three (3) Candidate Networking events. These are typically during each CI Class and one in the summer as an opportunity for those individuals interested in learning more about the CCIM designation, CCIM educational classes, class scholarships and networking opportunities with the CCIM designee members.
